Transition to clean technologies is necessary. Some companies like BP already recognized it and are changing the direction, although their plans are 2050 or more. These companies, if they take it seriously will prevail. Because it’s in interest of every person on Earth, to be sustainable and live as long as possible. This is how the evolution made us for the long run.
But there still some of the companies, which did not get the idea, even in the age of internet, where knowledge is spread in seconds and achievable with new Musk’s StarLink project from everywhere on Earth.
So personally, I would not bet on stock of these companies. And when I read that some of them are freezing the ground (which is melting due to climate change, which they are causing) to keep drilling, I would get rid of these stock until this very evening 🙂
